Role Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Master to lead and empower our Agile engineering team. You will be a leader who ensures Agile principles are deeply embedded, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and removes impediments to maximise team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Facilitation & Coaching
- Guide the team and organisation on Agile/Scrum best practices.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
- Team Empowerment & Delivery
- Foster a high-performing, self-organising team culture.
- Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions.
- Ensure sprint goals are met and delivery is aligned with business priorities.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Promote transparency through effective communication and reporting.
- Drive alignment across distributed teams in EMEA and North America.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies.
- Use metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to drive team performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
- Proven success working with distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Experience in EdTech or working with North American clients is a plus.
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I/II) is a plus.
